Joshua Andrus creates with an emotive, minimalist pulse, whether it be photo, video or music. Josh places emphasis on building a narrative relationship between his subject and their environment. Drawing inspiration from the opulent traditions of the Hudson River School, as well as Romanticism, Josh explores image construction with a rich, painterly palette. He aims to give his subjects personalities by capturing quiet moments.
